Tammy is a School Psychologist who brings over 25 years of valuable experience to our team.

Tammy has spent the majority of her career at Tri-County Special Education, working with various member districts including Olympia, Heyworth, LeRoy, Tri-Valley, and Lexington. She has also contributed her expertise in Southern Illinois, specifically in Hardin and Hamilton County, and has spent time within Unit 5 at Evans Middle School and Towanda Elementary Schools. Her diverse experiences across both small and large school districts have equipped her with a well-rounded perspective.

In addition to her extensive background, Tammy has held leadership roles within TCSEA, serving as union secretary and being involved in various committees. She has also supervised interns and practicum students. Tammy is particularly proud of her ability to communicate effectively, listen with empathy, and strive to understand different viewpoints.

Throughout her career, she has served as an ISPIRE RTI coach and has trained others in mental health first aid. Her passion for understanding Dyslexia drives her continuous pursuit of best practices in this area. Tammy is dedicated to evaluating students holistically to provide the best support for families, staff, and students alike.

When she’s not at work, you might find Tammy shopping at TJ Maxx or Home Goods, decorating her home, swimming with her family, or enjoying a night out with friends. She believes in the power of laughter to alleviate the stresses of our profession and is committed to understanding everyone’s story.
